Dr Ivi Nikolaou — Pulmonologist
Dr Ivi Nikolaou is a highly qualified pulmonologist with extensive experience in both the public and private healthcare sectors. She obtained her medical degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and completed her specialist qualification in Pulmonology.
She has worked as a pulmonology specialist at the “Sotiria” Chest Diseases Hospital in Athens, at Paphos General Hospital and Nicosia General Hospital. She currently practices as a private pulmonologist within GESY.
Dr Nikolaou is an expert in sleep disorders and holds a related postgraduate qualification (MSc) from the Medical School of the University of Athens.
Her academic work includes several publications in international scientific journals. She uses modern, state-of-the-art respiratory diagnostics equipment.
Dr Panayiota Nikolaou — Gastroenterologist–Hepatologist
Dr Panayiota Nikolaou is a member of the Gastroenterology–Hepatology team at Panacea Nicosia Medical Centre. Together with the centre’s specialist team, she provides assessment, treatment and ongoing monitoring for patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions. Her clinical approach focuses on the effective management of digestive health concerns and the provision of comprehensive, patient-centred care.
Dr Michalis Lerios — Gastroenterologist
Dr Michalis Lerios is an experienced gastroenterologist specialising in the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions. With a professional and patient-centred approach, he is committed to providing expert medical guidance, personalised treatment, and consistent follow-up tailored to each patient’s individual needs.
Dr Taisa Askalidou — Cardiologist
Dr Taisa Askalidou graduated from the Medical School of the University of Crete, where she studied on a full scholarship throughout her degree. She completed her specialist training in Cardiology at the “Georgios Papanikolaou” General Hospital of Thessaloniki.
She holds a postgraduate diploma in ultrasound functional imaging for the prevention and diagnosis of vascular diseases from the University of Thessaly and has completed specialised training in Cardiac Emergencies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She is a member of the Cyprus Medical Association and the Hellenic Society of Cardiology.
Her clinical interests include the prevention of cardiovascular risk factors, heart failure and cardio-oncology, particularly the assessment and management of cardiac complications associated with cancer treatments. Her GESY-registered practice provides comprehensive cardiac assessment using modern medical equipment, including electrocardiography, echocardiography, exercise stress testing, rhythm and blood-pressure Holter monitoring, preoperative assessment, and the monitoring of hypertension and dyslipidaemia.
Dr Froso Chatzigianni — Pulmonologist
Dr Froso Chatzigianni completed her medical studies at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf in Germany. She began her specialist training in Pulmonology at the Maria Hilf Academic Hospital of Alexianer Krefeld in Germany and subsequently continued and completed her training at Nicosia General Hospital, developing a particular interest in interventional pulmonology.
Following the completion of her specialist qualification in Pulmonology she began practising as a private pulmonologist registered with GESY. She maintains her practice at Panacea Nicosia Medical Centre and performs interventional pulmonology procedures as a scientific associate of the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Centre and Evangelistria Medical Centre.
Dr Chatzigianni is a member of the European Respiratory Society, the Hellenic Thoracic Society, the Cyprus Respiratory Society and the European Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology.
